How do people get the musk from the animal for perfume.?

Musk mostly comes from mustelids and musk deer.





Do thay kill the animal (or) get a small musk bottle and put it close to there butt.How do people get the musk from the animal for perfume.?
They used to kill the deer. to get natural musk you have to.





but now they have ways to create it synthetically.





so the ';musk'; in the perfume you have isnt from an animal at all. it's fake and created to smell like a deer testicle without actually being a deer testicle.
